A Dream, 5 Years in the Making

Posted by Ari Ratner on

I grew up in the Washington, DC area, home to one of the most passionate fan bases in sports. While we grew up and still live in Redskins territory, I was brought up a NY Giants fan. Both of my parents are from NY and my earliest memory of watching football was sitting in front of the TV with my dad, passionately rooting for the NY football Giants. For me, becoming a NY Giants fan was easy; I wanted to root for the same team that my dad did.

Fast forward to the fall of 2011, when my wife was pregnant with our first son. As a passionate sports fan, I could not wait to share in the passion I have for my teams with my son and ideally, pass down the thrills of victory and the agonies of defeat...and yes, there are usually more agonies than thrills.

A little more than 5 years later - we had another son and moved 3 times - and I am excited to share that BATHSCOTS is a reality. We are humbled to have worked closely with NASCAR and some of its core teams to bring to life the beginning of what we hope is a long line of sports-inspired children products.

There is much gratitude to go around as it truly takes a village and I couldn't have done this without so many people's support. I will save that for another post, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention the one person who has been along for the ride the entire time, my wife.

Sheed (ironically, not named after Rasheed Wallace) - thank you from the bottom of my heart for inspiring me, pushing me, motivating me and never letting me think that I could not come this far. And yes, I agree, this is only the beginning.

Thank you all for your attention.
